The AFL has today announced the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships U18 Girls All Australian Team.

The Championships concluded on Sunday, with Victoria Metro securing back-to-back title wins after finishing atop the standings with a 3-1 record. Queensland also produced a 3-1 record, with the title decided on percentage.

Six members of Victoria Metro’s title-winning squad were selected in the All Australian Team, including Chloe Bown, who was appointed All Australian captain and named as the best and fairest player of the Championships.

The classy midfielder averaged 27.5 disposals, 5.8 clearances and 5.5 tackles across the Championships to win the best and fairest award on 26 votes.

Queensland’s Sunny Lappin was runner-up on 23 votes, with South Australia’s Emma Charlton third on 21 votes. Lappin is the daughter of former Carlton and St Kilda forward Matthew, who played 251 AFL games for the Blues and Saints.

Four bottom-age players were selected in the All Australian Team, with Bailee Martin and Majella Day selected at full forward and in the forward pocket respectively, while Cara Dziegielewski was named in the ruck and Emma Charlton as rover.

The All Australian Team and best and fairest voting panel comprised Kevin Sheehan (AFL Talent Ambassador – Chair), Paul Hamilton (AFL National Talent Development & Competitions Manager), Jess Smith (AFL Talent Pathways Operations Manager), Tarkyn Lockyer (AFL National Academy Manager) and AFL club representatives Trent Moseby (Richmond), Phoebe Carter (Sydney Swans), Jordan Loxley (West Coast Eagles) and Dan Fisher (Western Bulldogs).
