The AFL has confirmed the fixture for Rounds 19 to 21 of the Smithy’s Victorian Football League (VFL) 2022 season.

ROUND 19

Round 19 of the Smithy’s VFL season will commence on Saturday July 30.

Collingwood will host Southport Sharks at Victoria Park at 10.35am, ahead of the club’s AFL clash with Port Adelaide that afternoon. It will be the first Smithy’s VFL match played at Victoria Park since the opening round of the 2022 season.

Sydney Swans host GWS GIANTS at the SCG at 5.35pm, directly following the AFL clash between the two clubs at the same venue.

Saturday’s action also includes Casey Demons hosting Northern Bullants at Casey Fields, a clash between Werribee and Footscray, while Williamstown and Carlton meet at Williamstown Football Ground.

A further four matches will be played on Sunday July 31, beginning with Gold Coast SUNS hosting Port Melbourne at Metricon Stadium. The match will be played before the AFL match between the Suns and West Coast Eagles.

Richmond hosts Brisbane Lions at Swinburne Centre from 11.05am. Spectators from both sides can then attend the AFL clash between the two clubs at the MCG that afternoon.

It’s a similar tale when Essendon and North Melbourne meet at Windy Hill from 12.05pm. The Bombers and Kangaroos also clash in the AFL at Marvel Stadium later in the day.

Meanwhile, Geelong Cats and Coburg meet at GMHBA Stadium.

Three teams will have a bye in Round 19, including Box Hill Hawks, Frankston and Sandringham.

ROUND 20

Six games are locked in on Saturday August 6.

GWS GIANTS and Essendon kickstart the action from 10.35am when they lock horns at GIANTS Stadium in a curtain-raiser to the AFL clash between the two clubs.

Other highlights from Saturday’s action include Werribee travelling north to meet Brisbane Lions at Moreton Bay Sports Complex, while Frankston hosts Box Hill Hawks at Skybus Stadium in the Seven Network broadcast match.

Two matches will be played on Sunday, August 7, including North Melbourne hosting Sydney Swans at Arden Street Oval from 11.05am. The Kangaroos and Swans’ AFL teams meet at Marvel Stadium in the afternoon.

Five teams have a bye in Round 20, including Carlton, Casey Demons, Gold Coast SUNS, Port Melbourne and Southport Sharks.

ROUND 21

Eight games are scheduled in Round 21 of the Smithy’s VFL season, which will be the penultimate round of the home-and-away campaign.

Five games will be played on Saturday August 13, beginning with a clash between Sandringham and Brisbane Lions at Trevor Barker Beach Oval from 11.05am.

Gold Coast SUNS host Southport Sharks at Metricon Stadium ahead of the SUNS’ AFL clash with Geelong Cats at the same venue.

Standalone clubs Coburg and Port Melbourne both host home matches on Saturday, while Box Hill Hawks and Geelong meet at Box Hill City Oval.

On Sunday, Sydney Swans host Collingwood at the SCG from 11.35am in a curtain-raiser to the AFL clash between the two clubs.

Casey Demons and Carlton go head-to-head at Casey Fields in the Seven Network broadcast match, while Essendon and Werribee meet at Windy Hill.
