The AFL has today announced a price freeze on all tickets for all matches at all venues across Weeks One to Three of the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series.

Ticket prices for Weeks One and Two have been frozen since 2019, with Week Three frozen at 2021 prices.

In Weeks One and Two, for any final hosted in Victoria, all tickets are frozen at 2019 prices, the last time AFL Finals were played in the state.

The entry level reserved seat category for Weeks One and Two remains at $35, Week Three at $65 – the same prices as 2016.

The 2022 Toyota AFL Finals pricing structure follows the AFL's commitment to access and affordability in a season which saw General Admission tickets frozen, the introduction of a family ticket and kids-in-free nationally over the recent school holiday period.

AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial Kylie Rogers said the price freeze was put in place to honour the commitment members and fans continue to make to their clubs.

"Footy's bounce back this season has been nothing short of phenomenal, with over 1.2 million members and 5.48 million fans attending the matches around the country - remarkable numbers and a testament to all supporters and members barracking for their clubs," Ms Rogers said.

"With this in mind, our commitment remains to keep finals footy prices as an affordable option and thank the members and fans who have stuck by their clubs this season.

"Victorian fans have been starved of AFL Finals action for two years - it was only appropriate to ensure prices remained as they were the last time finals footy was held in the state."

"We have such an exciting two months ahead, the thrilling crescendo of the men's home and away season, into a newly fixtured AFLW Season Seven, and the 2022 Toyota AFL Finals Series."

Ticket on-sale dates will be communicated shortly, members get first access to finals tickets.

Price freeze on all entry level tickets

The AFL has also today announced the $185 entry level ticket price has been frozen for the fourth year in a row, after subsequent price freezes in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Consistent with previous years, competing club members receive the biggest allocation of tickets to the season's biggest match. The ticketing allocation breakdown for the 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final is the same as previous years, with members once again being prioritised.

The two competing club members, AFL members and MCC members will have access to approximately 70,000 tickets. Competing club members receive the largest allocation of 34,000 (17,000 each), followed by MCC members, AFL and Medallion Club Members, other stakeholders (clubs, broadcast and corporate partners), and Premium hospitality experiences.

Entry level reserved seat prices remain at $185, with a minor 3 per cent increase on all other categories from the 2019 AFL Grand Final pricing – the last time the Toyota AFL Grand Final was at the MCG.

AFL Executive General Manager Commercial and Customer Kylie Rogers said the 2022 Toyota Grand Final returning the MCG in the traditional afternoon timeslot will once again be the biggest and largest attended sporting event in the country.

"The prestige, nostalgia and atmosphere of the AFL Grand Final at the MCG is something we all know and love," Ms Rogers said.

"A full house, with a 100,000 strong crowd, will once again deliver a pulsating atmosphere for the players, for the fans in stadium and for everyone watching the broadcast nationally.

"Our role is to deliver best possible experience, whether that be for those at the match or the millions watching the broadcast. Together with our broadcast partner the Seven Network, we'll create an amazing event, with 100,000 fans returning to the MCG on that last Saturday in September.

"For the ticketing release we will continue to prioritise our competing club members, with the lion's share of tickets available to those two groups.

"The 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final is sure to be a fantastic spectacle for both the fans in the stadium and the millions watching around the country and overseas."
