BRISBANE'S Cam Rayner has avoided a charge of staging after the League conceded it erred in awarding the Lion a free kick during Friday's qualifying final against Geelong.

Rayner fell to the ground when shoved by Geelong's Mark O'Connor, with the AFL on Saturday admitting the level of force involved was not enough to warrant the free kick.
