THE AFL are inviting families across the country to celebrate Kids Footy Month thanks to Coles, with tickets now on sale across the country, and from midday today (AEST) for Marvel Stadium and MCG matches for one of the most anticipated family initiatives on the football calendar.

Running across Rounds 16-19 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season, Kids Footy Month thanks to Coles will feature free tickets in nominated ticketing categories for kids aged 14 years and under, alongside a month packed with fun, family activities, experiences and opportunities for kids to connect with the game both on and off the field.

Timed to coincide with the school holidays across Australia, the initiative builds on the success of the much-loved previously named Kids Go Free campaign, evolving into a broader celebration of the little moments and shared experiences that make a day at the footy and the game special.

AFL Executive General Manager Customer, Commercial & Technology Bec Haagsma said Kids Footy Month thanks to Coles continues to deliver affordable and memorable experiences for families at a time when they matter most.

“We know families are continuing to feel cost-of-living pressures, which is why initiatives like Kids Footy Month thanks to Coles are so important,” Haagsma said.

“A day at the footy creates memories that stay with you forever, the goal celebrations, the lucky shoes, the marks, the excitement and all those little reasons that get kids out of their seats and falling in love with the game.

“We thank Coles for their partnership and support for this initiative which has become such a special part of the AFL season, and we’re excited to continue to evolve the initiative into a bigger celebration of kids and footy in 2026.

“Whether it’s attending their very first game, having their heart skip watching a close finish, designing their own Sherrin or having a kick of the footy the first time, Kids Footy Month thanks to Coles is about creating experiences families can enjoy together.”

Coles Head of Sponsorship & Events Carmel Horvath said Coles was proud to support Kids Footy Month and help more children experience the benefits of community sport.

“Coles is proud to partner with the AFL to support Kids Footy Month, helping more kids and families connect through footy and enjoy the fun, friendship and sense of belonging that comes from community sport,” Horvath said.

“Encouraging kids to get active from a young age is so important, and whether it’s coming along to a Coles Healthy Kicks clinic with a new friend or heading to a game with family, these moments can help inspire healthy habits for life.”

“We know local clubs, schools and community sport play a vital role in bringing families together, and we’re excited to help make footy more accessible, affordable and memorable for kids across the country this winter.”

Throughout June and July, schools, local clubs and AFL venues around the country will come alive through a range of Kids Footy Month thanks to Coles activities designed to celebrate a shared love of the game.

At select AFL matches throughout Kids Footy Month, kids can get involved in the Coles Healthy Kicks activation, combining footy, fun and healthy living in an interactive experience for young fans.

At participating centres across the country, kids can come and try NAB AFL Auskick or NAB AFL Superkick for the first time.  There will also be school holiday programs across the country to keep participants active and connected to the game throughout winter.

Young fans will also be encouraged to unleash their creativity through a national Design an AFL Ball competition, giving kids the opportunity to design their very own Sherrin, with the winning design set to be revealed during Kids Footy Month.

The fun will continue at stadiums throughout Rounds 16–19, with family-focused game-day activations and entertainment helping create even more reasons for families to head to the footy together.
