ADELAIDE has made three changes as it restructures its coaching department.

With poor on-field results and a reduced soft cap, the Crows have begun reviewing all of their football operations.

Forwards coach Ben Hart will return to Melbourne for family reasons after his second assistant coaching stint with the club.

"Ben has been dealing with the challenge of living apart from his family, which has been made especially difficult given the impact of Covid-19," Adelaide's head of football Adam Kelly said.

"With this in mind, he will seek opportunities in Victoria going forward. "

Midfield coach Michael Godden has not had his contract renewed for 2021 after two seasons with the Crows.

"Both Ben and Mick are quality people who are passionate about their coaching and helping others fulfil their potential," Kelly said.

Development coach Brent Reilly has been told he will no longer be an assistant coach, but his position within the coaching panel will be determined in the coming weeks.
