After a nail-biting win over the Saints last weekend, Brisbane’s Sophie Conway showed us her flair off the field, in the next instalment of Play Away with AFLW partner, Accor.
WE TRAVELLED down to Melbourne to play the Saints in round six and I took along my camera. I enjoy getting cool content - I’m no expert but I enjoy taking photos to share but also for the memories.
In my bag, what don’t I pack? I get plenty of grief from the girls with everything I bring. Main items are my SHOES! They are a must. All up including game day joggers and footy boots I had nine shoes for a 24-hour trip! Haha! Must have 2XU recovery tights. Nintendo - can’t go past Mario Kart - an absolute OG and love Crash Bandicoot. They are my go-to games. I’m not very good but it’s fun and takes my mind off things.
Our time was very limited - it was go, go, go! But we always have enough time to find a good café, taking a cheeky walk through the streets of South Yarra to find coffee on game day.
We stayed at the Como South Yarra (just quietly the best place I’ve stayed for an AFLW trip). I love how spacious the rooms were, unreal - couches, baths, enough room to foam roll, it had it ALL!
When on the road I enjoy chilling out - whether that’s hanging with the girls, playing Nintendo, scrolling on the phone, doing some recovery or just chilling on the bed or couch.
A European summer is on my travel bucket list, especially the Greek Islands and Croatia - the sun WOW!
