  • Adelaide, 11.7 (73) v Geelong. It's the sixth week in succession the Crows have been the round's highest scorer. They also recorded their highest-ever AFLW score, surpassing the 70 they recorded in round seven, 2017.

  • Geelong, 1.1 (7) v Adelaide. Without spearhead Phoebe McWilliams, the Cats were comprehensively strangled, scoreless until the 12-minute mark of the final term.

  • Aside from six minutes in the middle of the first quarter, Carlton led for the entire match, pushing out to a 37-point lead at the start of the fourth before winning by 36.
  • Carlton's Lauren Brazzale is hardly a household name despite having played 19 of a possible 21 AFLW games over the past three years, but she was arguably the Blues' best running on the wing. Her 22 disposals (including 16 kicks) was a much higher tally than her previous high of 12.
  • After a several days of headlines as a target of social media trolls, Tayla Harris responded in the best way possible. Not only did she take several strong contested marks and kick a goal, she also ran and tackled hard, creating pressure up forward.
  • The medical staff were very busy inside the Fremantle rooms post-match, with a number of players nursing injuries. Coach Trent Cooper said there would be several who would have struggled to play next week if the Dockers had won. Dana Hooker (chest and quad), Ashlee Atkins (shoulder), Evie Gooch (wrist), Kiara Bowers (hip) and Hayley Miller (hamstring) were all sore.

  • It was yet another comprehensive performance from Adelaide, which will be hot favourite to win its second AFLW premiership.
  • The Crows kept the Cats scoreless until the 12-minute mark of the final term, when Richelle Cranston converted from the goal-square after a free kick and 50m penalty.
  • Star Adelaide midfielder Ebony Marinoff was unstoppable and put in another well-rounded performance with 27 disposals, 12 clearances, seven tackles and two goals.
  • Jess Foley might not win every hit-out, but her work around the ground as a ruck sets her apart. Against Geelong, she had a career-high 19 disposals, six tackles and kicked a goal.
