RECENTLY retired premiership Crow Marijana Rajcic is staying at Adelaide, accepting a role as backline coach for the AFLW program.

The 33-year-old isn't the only former Crow to sign up alongside senior coach Matthew Clarke, with ex-AFL men's player Riley Knight (55 games between 2015-2020) taking charge of the forwards for season eight.

Courtney Cramey – herself an inaugural AFLW Crow – will continue as midfield coach, as well as moving into a full-time AFLW development role, after Jack Hombsch moved across to the men's program.

Emma Sampson has moved from defensive coach to assist Cramey with the midfield, while long-time forwards coach Peter Caven has departed the club after six AFLW seasons.

Ex-Pie Jack Madgen, who is playing with Adelaide's SANFL side, has come on board in a development coordinator role, assisting both players and coaches where required.

"Marijana is a teacher by trade and anyone who has had anything to do with her is aware she knows the game inside out, so it was a no-brainer to have her involved with the coaching staff now that she has finished playing," Adelaide head of women's footy Phil Harper said.

"Riley was always invested in our AFLW team when he was a player here and with his passion for both our AFLW team and coaching, we are happy to have him on board, it’s a win for him and it’s a win for the club.

"We were blessed to have a past premiership player like 'Cavo' help our team, initially coming on board for one year and ended up staying six years to work with our defenders and forwards.

"Cavo is extremely popular with our players and while we will miss him around the club, we thank him for his exceptional input and happy he is now part of the AFLW premiership history at Adelaide."
