FREMANTLE coach Lisa Webb has labelled last week's 21-point loss to Collingwood as a reality check and is confident of a big bounce back against Hawthorn on Saturday.

The Dockers won the inside 50m count 31-21 against the Pies, but Fremantle's poor first half and inability to cash in on its attacking forays cost it dearly.

The result left the Dockers all squared at 1-1 heading into their home clash with Hawthorn at Fremantle Oval.

Webb said last week's loss was "definitely" a reality check, with vital lessons learned from the defeat.

"In that first quarter we were on the back foot. We struggled to have the ball in our half," Webb told reporters on Thursday.

"The first half we were definitely reactive - all lines.

"Our main focus is using that momentum from the last quarter. That's when we had 16-0 inside 50s.

"Credit to the girls, we really fought back in that last quarter and that's what we'll look forward to doing this week against Hawthorn. I'm really confident we'll be able to get it right."

Gabby O'Sullivan is no certainty to play again this season after dislocating her shoulder against Collingwood.

The 29-year-old is one of Fremantle's most important players and Webb would desperately love to have the midfielder/forward at her disposal again.

"We're still working through scans with what that will look like, but we're really hoping she'll be available again this season," Webb said.

Saturday's match will mark the 50-game AFLW milestone of vice-captain Angelique Stannett, who becomes the fourth Docker to reach the mark.

The former Perth Glory star spent her first five seasons as a defender before being switched to attack this year.

Stannett kicked her first goal last week and said she is enjoying the positional change.

"I've been a defender my entire life, even going back to soccer as well," Stannett said.

"It's a completely different mindset. Early on in the pre-season I was standing on the wrong side of the mark, so we've come a long way since then.

"It's going to be a learning curve. I'm enjoying the challenge."

Hawthorn lost to Essendon by 19 points in round one before bouncing back to beat the Western Bulldogs by seven points last week.
