GOLD Coast has delisted Jamarra Ugle-Hagan ahead of Friday afternoon's list lodgement deadline, but has a spot for the former No.1 pick in 2027.

The Suns have committed to selecting Ugle-Hagan at next month's Telstra AFL Draft.

Ugle-Hagan has agreed to terms for a one-year extension, but will need to wait a few more weeks for the spot to be officially locked in on November 20.

Every club must make a minimum of three selections at the draft, but that can include re-drafting delisted players.

Gold Coast is tight for list spots after signing three players during the trade period.

Collingwood veteran Scott Pendlebury moved to the Suns on the opening day of the trade period, before Hawthorn pair Aidan Schubert and Sam Butler both moved to Carrara in the same trade.

The Suns provided Ugle-Hagan with an AFL lifeline at the end of 2025 after a tumultuous year at the Western Bulldogs.

Ugle-Hagan played three senior games under Damien Hardwick in 2026 but didn’t hit a trigger for a second season at the Suns.

The 24-year-old showed glimpses of his prodigious talent across 11 VFL games but dealt with knee and ankle injuries that required surgery across his first season at the Suns.

Ugle-Hagan has spent most of the off-season in Melbourne where he has been training at the Pulse 8 Centre in Murrumbeena and is now set for another season at Gold Coast to resurrect his AFL career.

The 2020 No.1 pick kicked 43 goals across a career best 2024 season at the Bulldogs and played a total of 70 games.
