East Fremantle broke away in the second half to run away 13-point winners over Peel Thunder. Claremont held West Perth scoreless on their way to a 78-point win. Swan Districts had a big 49-point win over Subiaco. 

AFLW Listed Players 

Mikayla Western returned to WAFLW after her remarkable AFLW debut and kicked a goal from 17 disposals for Claremont.

Fremantle’s Ashley Sharp kicked a goal for Swan Districts from seven disposals and also had four inside 50s.

State League Players

Mylee Leitch was important for East Fremantle in her side's win, finishing with 16 disposals, five marks and six inside 50s. Georgie Cleaver was also instrumental kicking a goal from 15 disposals.

Madeline Ross, Larissa Versaci and Anjelique Raison all kicked multiple goals in the Sharks' win.

Peel Thunder’s Kate Bartlett's good goal kicking form continues with another three against East Fremantle. Chloe Wrigley was Peel’s best, finishing with 21 disposals, eight tackles and seven marks.  

Tessa Doumanis put four goals past West Perth’s defence while Sasha Goranova and Sarah Viney led the midfield with 23 and 24 disposals respectively.

West Perth’s Jaymee Duke was her side's best in a tough loss with her 13 disposals.

Tara Stribley had 26 disposals, six marks and kicked a goal in her side's win and Taylah Edwards kicked three goals.

For Subiaco Helen Taylor was the best with her 18 disposals while Hayley Corlett kicked two goals for the Lions.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

No games in the SANFLW this weekend due to a bye

VICTORIA

Collingwood got back on the winners list with a 21-point win over Port Melbourne at Victoria Park. Hawthorn were the first side to crack the ton this season in its 101-point victory over the Bulldogs. Casey Demons made it five wins in a row with an 11-point win over Geelong. Darebin made it back-to-back wins for the first time since 2018 with an 8-point win over Carlton. Essendon and the Southern Saints played out a thrilling draw at The Hangar. North notched its first win of the season with a 34-point win over Williamstown. 

AFLW Listed Players 

Eloise Chaston and Bella Smith both hit the scoreboard for the Pies in its win against Port Melbourne with Smith also taking six marks.

The Demons' Jacqueline Parry and Lauren Magee were big contributors for Casey. Parry kicked a goal but had plenty of other opportunities from her 23 disposals while Magee finished as the equal leading disposal getter with 25 touches and seven tackles.

Alison Brown also played a role in the Dees' win, finishing with 20 disposals.

Carly Remmos finished with 25 disposals and Claudia Gunjaca also had a good game with 14 disposals and five tackles.

Carlton’s Lauren Brazzale was one the Blues best in the loss to Darebin winning 17 disposals.

There were plenty of contributors from North’s AFLW team in its win over Williamstown. Jess Duffin led the way with 21 disposals and 10 marks while Alice O’Loughlin kicked two goals.

Tess Craven and Alexia Hamilton also contributed to the win finishing with 19 and 13 disposals respectively.

State League Players  

Collingwood captain Caitlin Bunker led from the front for her side leading the way with a complete performance that included 20 disposals, seven marks and nine tackles. Matilda Zander kicked two goals from 17 disposals and also had five tackles.

Sophie Locke and Olivia Barton performed well for Port Melbourne in the loss picking up 21 and 18 disposals respectively. 

Hawthorn’s Tamara Luke had a big game in her side’s win finishing with 24 disposals, nine marks, five tackles, 17 hit outs and a goal. Dom Carbone and Kristy Stratton kicked 7 goals between them with Carbone also picking up 22 disposals while Lauren Szigeti and Katelyn Cox led the Hawks in the midfield.

Lucy Schneider led the Dogs with her 24 disposals and Mary Sandral kicked the Dogs solitary goal.

Tamara Smith’s good form for the Cats continued with her finishing with 22 touches and 13 tackles in her side’s loss to Casey.

Angelica Gogos helped the Falcons over the line with her 22 disposals and eight tackles and Emma McKay was lively inside forward 50 kicking two goals.

Carlton’s Ashlee Thorneycroft did her best in Carlton’s loss winning 19 disposals and laying an impressive 15 tackles. Jorja Borg won the ruck battle with 44 hit outs, seven tackles and 16 disposals.

2022 FIXTURE Every match, every round

Hannah Stuart was everything for the Southern Saints leading with 22 disposals, six tackles and nine clearances. Tessa Boyd kicked two crucial goals for the Saints in the draw.

Former Lion Jordan Zanchetta had a big game for the Bombers finishing with 16 disposals, four marks, six tackles and a goal. Joanna Doonan and Eloise Ashley-Cooper were also important for Essendon as they came from behind to snatch the draw.

Jasmine Kawa and Sharnie Whiting were Williamstown’s best performers in the loss to North.
