GOAL DOCKERSA terrible one step kick out of defence by the Tigers sees Hill with a set shot at goal 45 metres out. Hill doesn't turn it into a mountain. He kicks the goal.

  • Q2 08:00

The Tigers are being tested in the second quarter with Fremantle turning the pressure valve up to high.

  • Q2 05:40

GOAL DOCKERSFremantle are surging as Walters presents. He is a very accurate kick in front of goals and this one is no exception.

  • Q2 05:00

Kepler Bradley puts his body on the line and comes off second best. He is off the field in the arms of the team's medical staff and looks unlikely to take any further part.

  • Q2 04:20

BEHIND DOCKERSBradley's kick in desperation as he is being tackled bounces away for a behind.

  • Q2 02:00

GOAL DOCKERSThe Dockers kick it forward where Walters marks but the umpires have found a free kick and Mayne will take it. Either way the Dockers win with Mayne splitting the middle!

GOAL TIGERSKnights runs to the edge of the 50 and kicks to Vickery who marks on his chest. Vickery's shot at goal is a pleasure to watch. Straight through the middle. Could not be any straighter!

  • Q1 24:50

GOAL TIGERSHannath impersonates a snake and tackles Knights tightly around his neck. Knights is paid the free kick for a high tackle and the kick for goal just carries.

  • Q1 22:35

GOAL DOCKERSFremantle work it from coast to coast after Johnson's tackle on Vickery sets the Dockers on their way. de Boer finds Walters all alone and he marks. His shot at goal is good.

  • Q1 18:00

Cotchin is keeping the statisticians busy in the first quarter already having reached double figures in terms of disposals.

  • Q1 14:30

GOAL DOCKERSAn almost accidental goal kicked by the Dockers. Bradley's shot from point blank range is smothered by Rance, but Mayne kicks it on it's way through and the Dockers have a goal.

  • Q1 13:00

GOAL TIGERSMcPharlin is penalised for holding Riewoldt in the goal square behind play. Riewoldt has a confidence boosting early goal as a result with the Tigers leading 20 to zip.

BEHIND TIGERSThe Dockers defence rush it through under pressure.

  • Q1 06:00

The pressure is on the Dockers after conceding two early goals. They will not want Richmond to put another one or two unanswered goals before they get one.

  • Q1 03:00

GOAL TIGERSRichmond are working the ball around well. McGuane comes out and marks. He lines it up. The kick moves left but holds its line with the goal umpire signalling a goal.

  • Q1 00:30

GOAL TIGERSRichmond get off to a flying start with a well worked series of handballs finishing up with Grigg just inside 50. He sizes up the big sticks and does he size them up well! It's a beauty!

Ryan Crowley was a key contributor for Fremantle in the thrilling win

FREMANTLE has pulled off a nail-biting one-point victory over Richmond at Patersons Stadium, winning 12.9 (81) to 12.8 (80) on Friday night.

When Chris Mayne kicked his third goal at the six-minute mark of the last quarter to give Fremantle a 14-point lead, its biggest of the night, the Dockers looked like they might finally break-away from the Tigers. But the visitors refused to go away in a pulsating last 10 minutes.

Dustin Martin converted a remarkable set shot from deep in the left forward pocket to cut the margin to just eight before Tyrone Vickery took a contested mark and kicked his third to bring Richmond within two points with six minutes to play.

Matt White then nearly kicked a miracle goal from the boundary, but the ball controversially hit the goal umpire straddling the line to stay in play. Fremantle’s Stephen Hill then rushed it over to cut the margin to one point.

White then gave the Tigers the lead inside the final two minutes when he goaled after running onto the football with electric pace, with Fremantle in danger of relinquishing a lead late for the second straight match at Patersons Stadium.

But Fremantle gleaned the next clearance, and Ballantyne bobbed up with his fourth goal to reclaim the lead.

The siren beat the Tigers as the football was 15 metres from their attacking goal.

Earlier, Richmond silenced the vocal Fremantle crowd with a blistering start, kicking the first three goals before Fremantle scored.

The Dockers fought back in the second term, kicking five goals to two to lead by two points at the major change.

It was an arm-wrestle in the third, with Fremantle unable to take their chances to extend their lead, whilst Richmond kicked 2.2 from just four inside 50 entries for the term to stay in touch.

Luke McPharlin proved a pivotal inclusion for Fremantle. The All-Australian defender held reigning Coleman Medalist Jack Riewoldt to just two marks and one goal, which came from a free kick.

Chris Knights was outstanding for Richmond, kicking three goals to keep them in touch throughout the night.
