ADELAIDE flexed its muscles with yet another percentage-boosting win, this time over a hapless Fremantle, to stay in the hunt for a top-two finish.

Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins feasted on the Dockers, kicking 11 goals between to help the Crows win by 72 points, 21.16 (142) to 11.4 (70).

Full match coverage and stats

It is the first time in the Crows' history they have registered two wins at Domain Stadium in the same season after beating West Coast back in round 12.

They are now well placed to finish in the top two with matches to come against Port Adelaide and West Coast at Adelaide Oval to finish off the home and away season.

"It was another professional performance from our guys," Crows coach Don Pyke said.

"We came across here knowing that Fremantle, home, (was) going to be a good test. To (Fremantle's) credit, that pressure was around most of the day. I thought our guys just got a good solid win.

"The club hasn't won twice in a season in WA, so that was great to tick that box."

The Dockers' season sinks further into the mire. They have now lost seven in a row and their president Steve Harris also announced pre-game he would stand down at the end of the season in a long-planned, if not ill-timed, move.

Ruckman Aaron Sandilands also spent most of the second half on the bench with a gluteal strain.

Five talking points: Fremantle v Adelaide

Ruckman Aaron Sandilands also spent most of the second half on the bench with a leg injury.

The Dockers' straight kicking in front of goal offset their horror field kicking.

The Crows yielded 16 of their 21 goals from Dockers turnovers.

Betts was a major beneficiary. He kicked six goals, his best return this year, to take his season tally to 60. Jenkins bagged five, the majority from within 15m of goals.

"We played a very good football team," Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said

"I thought our endeavour was really strong,

"But our Achilles heel this year has been the ball use centre-back. We turned it over an enormous amount of times and got scored heavily against. Then we struggled to win some one-on-ones in defence as well."

The Crows had a huge number of contributors in the midfield. Rory Laird, Rory Atkins and Richard Douglas all had more than 30 disposals at better than 83 per cent efficiency. The Crows sliced the Dockers open through the corridor. Their precision kicking run and spread was nearly impossible for the home side to contain.

Michael Walters was one of the rare shining lights for the Dockers, kicking five goals for the first time in his career. Lachie Neale and Stephen Hill fought hard in the midfield. Alex Silvagni had a decent day on Adelaide skipper Taylor Walker, keeping him to one goal and winning a number of one-on-ones.

The Dockers squared the clearances (34-34) but gave up 69 inside 50s to 45 after turning over the ball at will.

"Twenty-eight shots off turnover, we've certainly been a club that's been able to average somewhere around 11 or 12," Lyon said.

"Good teams, that's what they'll keep you to and that's what they kept us to, 7.3 (10 scores). It's clear what we need to work on but it's going to take some time, as we've already put on the table, to work through that."

The Crows increased their lead at every change and hardly relented with the exception of a brief period at the start of the last quarter.

Dockers veteran Matthew Pavlich will be rested next week from the Dockers trip to Sydney to face GWS. Pavlich will play his 353rd and final AFL game against the Western Bulldogs at home in round 23.

MEDICAL ROOM
Fremantle: Sandilands suffered tightness in his glute early the game. Lyon said he gave him the option of continuing but they decided to let him sit out the rest of the game. "It's not significant," Lyon said. Hopefully he can come up next week but if not we'd love him for Pav's last game."

Adelaide: The Crows got through with a clean bill of health.

NEXT UP
The Dockers travel to face the Giants at Spotless Stadium next Saturday afternoon. The Crows head home for the Showdown with Port Adelaide next Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.
