THE BIGGEST fan-generated award in footy is back.

This year, the Carlton Natural Blonde People's Champion gives footy fans unprecedented power – the power to decide the 2009 AFL season’s best player.

Every single match, you are invited to visit the Carlton Natural Blonde People's Champion site via afl.com.au and cast your own votes.

Voting opens within an hour of each match finishing – and it’s easy to vote. Just follow the links on the afl.com.au homepage, or from Round 3 onwards, simply look for the link on the Carlton Natural Blonde Match Centre.

Once you’re in, cast your three, two and one vote votes for the three best players on the ground. It’s the same system the umpires use when giving votes for the Brownlow Medal.

Voting is free, and no registration is required. You can vote once on any match of the home-and-away season. Don’t worry, you don’t have to vote on every single match – just the ones you saw or reckon you’re in a position to give good votes on.

And if you wondered whether the most popular teams will be favoured by receiving more votes – fear not! A special formula then adds and calculates the votes to ensure vote-getters from less popular teams receive their due.

At the end, one player will emerge as the first ever Carlton Natural Blonde People's Champion.

The power has shifted forever. Vote now and you, the people, will decide the Carlton Natural Blonde People's Champion for 2009!
