An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic training specialist to join the Western Bulldogs on a 15 month contract.  We are one of the 18 clubs of the Australian Football League (AFL) and situated in the fastest growing region of Australia.

Working with diverse groups through sports and vocational based programs, this position will be responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of training programs by Western Bulldogs SpiritWest Services under auspice from Victoria University and as funded by ACFE. Using the power of AFL football through our leading Community Programs Team, this exciting opportunity will help to create personal development and pathways for individuals with a disability and other vulnerable groups.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Coordinate and facilitate student enrolments with relevant agencies and Victoria University.
•    Coordinate the development of courses, selection of units and development of training resources & assessment materials for identified programs.
•    Coordinate sessional trainers and ensure their performance is regularly monitored.
•    Deliver training in a range of programs including community education programs and disability education.
•    Ensure all appropriate training paperwork, training and assessment information is completed and filed appropriately.
•    Ensuring training systems operate under a regime of continuous improvement, documented for reporting and compliance purposes.
•    Liaise with Victoria University and ACFE regarding training & assessment or reporting standards that may need to be met in the delivery of training under contract arrangements.
•    Represent SpiritWest Services at ACFE stakeholder meetings.

To be considered for this role you must hold relevant training qualifications, have experience in the compliance of training systems and be able to work effectively in a range of environments.  Experience in training disability clients and vulnerable groups is essential, while other program experience with at risk groups will be looked on very favourably.
