MOMENTUM is building for two of the biggest free agents on the market to switch clubs as their window to move swings open on Friday.

Melbourne defender James Frawley has informed the Demons he is leaving and AFL.com.au believes he will join Hawthorn.

Gold Coast has openly declared its interest in Sydney Swans half-back Nick Malceski.

Friday marks the beginning of the NAB AFL Restricted Free Agency Offer and Unrestricted Free Agency Period.

Father-son and academy bids must also be submitted to the AFL.

Star Swan going nowhere
Sydney Swans midfielder Dan Hannebery has been linked to Richmond, but is unlikely to leave the beaten Grand Finalists.

The Herald Sun reports Hannebery is all but certain to turn his back on the Tigers' interest.

Meanwhile, young forward Tim Membrey has told the club he is keen to chase other opportunities after playing only one game in two seasons.

Essendon and the Western Bulldogs are believed to have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature.

Blues bad boy set for second chance
Carlton's Mitch Robinson has attracted interest from multiple clubs, as the Blues attempt to offload the tough nut and Jeff Garlett.

Robinson has met with Gold Coast offiicials, according to the Herald Sun, and has also been linked to Hawthorn.

Richmond has denied it is keen to add Robinson's big body to its midfield mix.

Interest in Garlett is somewhat cooler with West Coast said to have pulled back from the talented small forward.

'Schoey' wants to fit at Hawthorn
James Frawley's imminent arrival at Waverley and Brian Lake's one-year contract extension have prompted questions about the future of developing tall Ryan Schoenmakers.

However, the 23-year-old is determined to fight for his spot at either end next season, the Herald Sun reports.

Schoenmakers played 15 games in 2014 but couldn't nail down a spot and did not play in the Grand Final.
