After targeting Collingwood free agent Jamie Elliott through October and missing, the Lions recommitted to Christensen for one of the final available list spots.

Christensen played 13 matches for the Lions in 2019, including the pair of finals losses against Richmond and Greater Western Sydney.

The 28-year-old will extend his stay at the Lions into a fifth season after five years on Geelong's list that included a flag in his debut AFL season of 2011.
