The strong-bodied left-footer is a tough inside midfielder who thrives on a contest. Combe was a clearance king for North Adelaide's Under-18 and reserves sides in 2013 and averaged more than 20 possessions a game in both competitions. He was often a standout for the South Australian Under-18 side at this year's national championships and coach Brenton Phillips likened his style of play to that of SANFL legendary enforcer Garry McIntosh
