Other Incidents Assessed:
The match day report against Hawthorn's Luke Breust for striking North Melbourne's Todd Goldstein was assessed. The panel said the ball was kicked by a North Melbourne player to the leading Goldstein. Breust comes to the contest and attempts to spoil the mark by Goldstein. Breust has his eyes on the ball at all times and, after speaking to the umpire who laid the report and viewing all available footage, it was the view of the panel that Breust's actions were a legitimate attempt to spoil and not a striking action. No further action was taken.

Contact between Port Adelaide's Angus Monfries and West Coast's Matt Priddis from the first quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. Priddis had taken possession of the ball and was immediately tackled by Monfries. Monfries takes the West Coast player to the ground with his tackle in one action. It was the view of the panel that Monfries' tackle was not an inherently dangerous tackle and Priddis was not slung or driven into the ground with excessive force, but the West Coast player was adversely affected by the momentum of a legal tackle. No further action was taken.

Contact between the Brisbane Lions' Dayne Zorko and Melbourne's Luke Tapscott from the fourth quarter of Sunday's match was assessed. Zorko has handballed the ball to a teammate and is met with a bump by Tapscott. Zorko pushes Tapscott to the ground and a free kick is paid against him for high contact. After viewing all available footage, it was the view of the panel that Zorko's action was not a striking motion and the free kick paid against him for high contact was sufficient penalty. No further action was taken.
