JARRAD Waite's return to football has lasted just one week with the Carlton forward accepting a one-match suspension, while Justin Koschitzke will miss the next two games.

The Blues have accepted the misconduct charge placed against Waite for his headbutt against Melbourne's Tom McDonald in the first quarter of Sunday's game at the MCG.

Waite, who was playing in his first AFL game for the season after a calf injury, will now miss the Blues' Monday night clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

Also missing from that contest will be Koschitzke, who has accepted a two-match sanction for striking Collingwood's Jamie Elliot.

The veteran St Kilda tall, who only just made his way back into the seniors after starting the season in the VFL, was collected Elliot high off the ball in the second quarter of Friday night's game at Etihad Stadium.

He was playing in just his second game for the season after earning a recall for the Saints' clash with the Sydney Swans in Wellington.

Koschitzke will also be unavailable for the Saints' round eight trip to Adelaide to face the Crows.

Joel Selwood and Chris Newman have accepted fines for wrestling each other in the Geelong-Richmond match at the MCG on Saturday night.

Selwood is $1800 lighter for his second wrestling offence while Newman is down $900 for a first offence.
