NATHAN Bock has deflected questions on his possible link with an ASADA investigation, saying he is solely focused on his football comeback.

After breaking his leg against Fremantle in round six last year, the Gold Coast vice-captain will play his first game in 13 months on Saturday.

He will play for the Suns' reserves against the Brisbane Lions.

Bock's time out of the game has been a rocky one though, with a newspaper report earlier this month alleging he was the player under an anti-doping investigation.

Bock said he was not in a position to comment on the allegations.

"I've just been focusing on my rehab and getting back to playing some footy and that's what I'm focusing on," he said.

"I'm just excited about playing some football on the weekend."

Gold Coast has opened its doors to the AFL and ASADA since the controversy first broke in February.

At this stage the Suns have not been approached or investigated.

Bock said it had been a long road to return but he never thought of giving the game away.

His right leg still has a massive lump where a titanium rod was inserted into the tibia.

He said speaking to other players who had been through similar injuries had been a huge help.

"They've always been around that sort of time (12 months) or longer, so we think it's really positive we're getting back this week," he said.

"Chatting to Michael Barlow and Dale Morris from the Bulldogs, those guys went through similar injuries, and Matt Maguire. I just discussed rehab and that gave me some reassurance to getting back to full fitness and playing football.

"It's been a long time. You have your ups and downs but I'm just excited to finally be playing some footy again."
