THE BRISBANE Lions will be without Mitch Golby for Saturday's clash with Richmond, after the defender accepted a one-match sanction for striking.

Golby was cited by the Match Review Panel over an off-the-ball incident involving St Kilda's Tom Curren during the second quarter of the Lions' 31-point win at the Gabba on Saturday night.

The incident was assessed as intentional, low impact and high contact, enough for a two-match ban, but the 21-year-old's guilty plea cuts the sanction by a week.

Golby was the only player suspended out of round 19.

Geelong's Josh Caddy and Corey Enright, and Gold Coast's Dion Prestia have all accepted fines, while West Coast key defender Darren Glass has accepted a reprimand for striking Prestia.

The tribunal will therefore not sit on Tuesday night.
