MELBOURNE father-son prospect Jake Lovett has caught the eye of recruiters by taking one of the marks of the TAC Cup season at the weekend.

Playing for the Dandenong Stringrays against the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup finals, the inside midfielder soared high above a pack to take one of the best marks of the year.

The screamer was reminiscent of Andrew Walker's 2011 Mark of the Year over Jake Carlisle.

Lovett, whose father Brett played 235 games for Melbourne between 1986 and 1997, trained with the Demons earlier in the season, but has battled injuries for much of 2015.
