COLLINGWOOD defender Paul Seedsman looks bound for Adelaide after nominating the Crows as his preferred new club on Thursday.
Seedsman was also hotly pursued by Gold Coast and North Melbourne and, to a lesser extent, the Sydney Swans, but AFL.com.au has confirmed the 23-year-old has settled on Adelaide as his new home.
It is believed the Crows have offered Seedsman a three-year contract worth about $330,000 a season.
The Crows will now have to broker a trade with Collingwood, with one of their two second-round picks (No. 28 and 32) a chance to be involved in the deal.
Adelaide will most likely look to utilise Seedsman's run across half-back, where he should fit in well with Rory Laird and Brodie Smith, but the Eastern Ranges product could also be used on the wing.
Recruited from the Eastern Ranges with pick No.76 in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft, Seedsman made his debut for the Pies in round one, 2012, and has since played 49 games.
He made a strong start to the 2015 season, playing 10 of Collingwood's first 12 games, most memorably winning the Anzac Medal for his 31-possession, best-on-ground performance against Essendon in round four.
But Seedsman then fell out of favour, playing just two more games for the season.
