VIKA and Linda Bull will sing the national anthem at this year's Grand Final.

The popular sisters have been a presence on the Australian music scene for more than 30 years dating back to their time with the chart-topping Black Sorrows.

"It's a very big honour to sing the anthem at the footy … it's a really daunting task," Linda told AFL.com.au.

"The one thing we don't want to do is stuff up," Vika added.

"We just want to sing it straight, sing it in harmony, and get off and let everyone get on with the game basically," she said.

The AFL has also confirmed iconic entertainer Mike Brady will sing One Day In October as part of pre-match celebrations.

Brady's performance will accompany the motorcade of retiring greats including Dane Swan, Matthew Pavlich and Adam Cooney.

Homegrown acts to headline Grand Final entertainment
