TOUK MILLER has re-signed with Gold Coast for another two seasons, avoiding a year of contract speculation.

The young midfielder, who turns 21 later this month, has put to bed any talk he might seek to move at the end of the season.

The deal keeps Miller in the red and yellow until at least the end of 2019.

It leaves new co-captain Steven May and exciting midfielder Jack Martin as the Suns' remaining contract priorities.

Miller was drafted by the Suns with pick No.29 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft.

He has played 40 games in his two seasons on the Suns senior list, kicking 11 goals and averaging just under 19 disposals a match.

The Suns made the announcement on social media on Wednesday morning.

"In my eyes, there was no other place I wanted to be other than at the Suns," Miller said.

"As a playing group, we have completed a mountain of work this pre-season, and strongly believe we are in for an exciting 2017."

Late last year, Peter Wright (a friend and housemate of Miller's), Callum Ah Chee and David Swallow all signed new deals at Gold Coast.

The Suns lost Jaeger O'Meara to Hawthorn, while speculation about Gary Ablett's future at the club beyond this season continues.

Ablett asked club officials about the possibility of a trade back to Geelong during the off-season, but it was rejected.

The high-priced Brownlow medallist is contracted to the Suns until the end of 2018.
