GEELONG midfielder Scott Selwood remains a rough chance to play against Fremantle on Sunday at Simonds Stadium.

Despite sitting out the final quarter of last Thursday night's game against West Coast, the 26-year-old is already back running according to Cats physio Mark Young.

"It was a conservative call during the game [and we are] confident that he has recovered well. He has actually started his running program," Young told Geelongcats.com.au.

"I would say he is a test for this weekend. We're not prepared to rule him out yet and he definitely isn't."

Selwood was a key player in the Cats' three consecutive wins between rounds nine and 11 after being sidelined with a toe injury at the start of the season.

He returned to the senior team in round nine and immediately starred against the Western Bulldogs

Cats utility Mark Blicavs will be available to play against the Dockers after being managed out of the game against West Coast while Nakia Cockatoo will miss with a hamstring injury.
