HAWTHORN forward Tyrone Vickery's AFL season appears over after he was offered a one-game ban while playing for Box Hill in the VFL on Sunday.

The striking incident came in the opening term against Port Melbourne's Brody Mihocek and was assessed as intentional conduct, high contact and low impact.

However, with one match left in the VFL season and with Box Hill sitting second, Vickery would be available for the finals campaign if he accepts the suspension.

Vickery, 27, comes out of contract at the end of next year.

Exciting Collingwood forward Kayle Kirby could yet make his debut in the senior side against Melbourne on Saturday afternoon after he was offered a $600 fine for striking Geelong defender Tom Ruggles in the third quarter on Saturday.

It was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and contact to the body.

Kirby is the equal-leading goalkicker in the VFL. His tally of 42 is matched by Port Melbourne's Jordan Lisle.

Meanwhile, Essendon's Jake Long faces three matches on the sidelines after AFL Victoria's Match Review Panel charged him for striking Footscray ruckman Tim English.

It was graded as careless conduct, high impact and high contact.

A poor record added a week to his ban.
