DASHING defender Aaron Mullett and injury-prone forward Corey Wagner are North Melbourne's latest delistings as the Roos plot a climb back up the ladder.

Mullett averaged 20 disposals in 18 games this year, with only three footballers – Michael Hurley, Michael Hibberd and Sam Docherty – averaging more than his 5.6 rebound 50s.

The 25-year-old played 85 games for North after being a rookie selection in 2010 and looked to be part of the club's future at different stages.

But the writing was on the wall when he placed 15th in the club best and fairest count in mid-September and remained out of contract.

"Aaron fought hard for promotion off the rookie list on two occasions early in his career, which showed his dedication and perseverance," Kangaroos general manager of football Cameron Joyce said.

"He's been a fantastic servant of the club for the past seven years and we sincerely hope he can resurrect his AFL career with another club."

Wagner, 20, played only eight matches in two seasons and battled injury in that time, including an ankle setback in round seven against Adelaide that sidelined him for eight weeks.

"It's no doubt been frustrating for Corey with injury hampering his progress," Joyce said.

"Both players are young men of great quality and we'd like to thank them for their hard work and efforts during their time at Arden Street.

"We wish them every success for the future."

North had already delisted veterans Lachy Hansen and Sam Gibson, as well as untried rookies Will Fordham and Matt Taylor.
