VERSATILE Collingwood tall Lachlan Keeffe headlines a list of four Magpies delisted by the club.

The 27-year-old had returned to the club as a rookie at the end of 2016, after a back-dated, two-year suspension from WADA for testing positive to banned drug clenbuterol during the 2015 pre-season.

He did not play a senior match in 2017, and has finished his Collingwood career with 40 games on the board.

Fellow rookies Henry Schade, Liam Mackie and Mitch McCarthy have also been delisted.

Key defender Schade joined the Pies from Gold Coast at the end of last year, and managed eight senior games this year.

Mackie, cousin of recently retired Cat Andrew, was selected with pick 40 in last year's rookie draft, and played 12 VFL matches.

McCarthy, who had a US basketball scholarship in 2015, struggled with a foot injury this year and played just five VFL games.

General manager of football Geoff Walsh thanked the four for their contributions to the club.

"We first met Lachy when he was a 17-year-old soccer player in Gympie, and over the past 10 years he's become a very popular and impressive young man at the Collingwood Football Club," Walsh told collingwoodfc.com.au.

"Henry, Liam and Mitch made the most of their opportunity coming through the rookie draft and committed to the football program and their teammates over the past 12 months at the club."
