MELBOURNE will again play two 'home' games in the Northern Territory during the home and away season next year, hosting Adelaide in Alice Springs and Fremantle in Darwin.
The fixture slots were confirmed by the AFL on Friday, with the Crows to face the Demons in an afternoon clash at TIO Traeger Park in round 10.
The Dockers will travel north to take on the Demons at Darwin's TIO Stadium in round 16 in a night clash.
"To support the fact that Australian football is a truly national game, it's important to take the elite men's competition matches to all states and territories," AFL general manager of clubs and broadcasting Travis Auld said.
"We are excited about playing two Northern Territory matches again this year and are committed to inspiring the next generation of men’s and women's players by giving them the opportunity to see the elite game up close and in their backyards.
"I’d like to extend our thanks to the Northern Territory Government for their continued support of AFL, the Melbourne football club and in particular these matches," he said.
The Demons have hosted matches at TIO Traeger Park for the past four years, first against Port Adelaide (2014-16) and this year against Gold Coast, winning one of four (the game against the Suns).
They have hosted matches at Darwin's TIO Stadium since 2010, winning three of eight.
