RICHMOND's entire 2017 premiership winning team will be eligible for life membership at the Tigers after a significant change to the club's constitution.

That change will come into immediate effect after the club's Annual General Meeting on Monday night altered its constitution to allow the board, at its discretion, to elect all previous premiership players.

It would, of course, include the 22 Tigers players who took to the field against Adelaide in September.

Previously, only multiple VFL/AFL premiership winners or a VFL/AFL premiership player who had played a minimum of 100 senior games could be considered for life membership.

That means youngsters Jack Graham (five games), Nathan Broad (12) and Dan Butler (23), for example, would be eligible for life membership after the change.

The board can also induct non-players into the prestigious club.

Richmond president Peggy O'Neal said the Tigers would not rest on their laurels after a magical 2017 season.

"(2017 was) the season we all dreamed of," O'Neal said.

"The challenge ahead of us is how to achieve a period of sustained success. You can be assured that our hard work will not stop."
