WEST Coast has finalised its list ahead of the upcoming drafts by re-signing Brendon Ah Chee, Fraser McInnes and Matthew Allen for next season.

Ah Chee managed eight games this year after crossing from Port Adelaide and seeking more opportunities in the Eagles' midfield.

A serious ankle injury during the JLT Community Series stalled his progress and, while the 24-year-old showed promising signs, he was unable to nail down a regular berth.

"He was pretty unfortunate after a terrific pre-season last year to get injured early on in the JLT series, which set him back about eight weeks and made it difficult for him to get any continuity in the front end of the season," football manager Craig Vozzo said.

"But he played some really good and important footy for us throughout the year and was a big part of the squad that got us through to the Grand Final."

McInnes, who has played 14 games since he was drafted via pick 28 in 2011, will remain part of the Eagles' squad for an eighth season.

The versatile 198cm tall made three appearances this year, providing cover as a key forward and pinch-hitting ruckman when injuries struck.

"With Fraser McInnes, it's a great story in a number of ways for our club. Success isn't always measured by the amount of games you win, or where you finished in the club champion award," Vozzo said.

"In terms of the great fellas at our football club, and great teammates, Fraser McInnes is right in the top half-dozen.

"It's terrific that he's going to go around again for us, particularly as we tackle the new challenge of having our own reserves team in the WAFL next year.

"Fraser, obviously, will aspire to play senior footy, as he has each and every year, but he's a really important conduit often over the years between East Perth back in time and our senior team and setting the standards and leadership in our seconds."

Allen is one of only two survivors from the 2015 NAB AFL Draft yet to debut, however the athletic tall was a travelling emergency this year and took positive steps after moving into the midfield late in East Perth's campaign.

"Not everyone goes in the (Andrew) Gaff/(Jack) Darling first year, 20-odd games of senior footy (path)," Vozzo said.

"Matty's missed his entire first pre-season and a large majority of his first season with us so he was able to string a full pre-season together last year and we saw some reward and improvement, particularly in the back half of last year when he was playing a mid/forward role.

"We're really excited that at 193cm and with his work rate and running capacity with where Matthew can take his game next year … we think he can play a number of roles for us."
