PREMIERSHIP greats Gavin Wanganeen, Corey Enright and Jonathan Brown headline a list of former players who will represent their respective clubs in Thursday's NAB AFL Draft coverage.

Other ex-players including Brett Burton, Simon Prestigiacomo and Neil Balme will be tasked with handing over jumpers to their former club's first selection when their name is called.

However, much like its decision for the No.1 pick, Carlton is keeping its cards close to its chest in revealing who it will be giving the job to on the big stage.

A number of clubs including Western Bulldogs (Easton Wood) and St Kilda (Jarryn Geary) have opted to use their current captains, while coach Ross Lyon will do the honours for Fremantle.

Inaugural Gold Coast life member and games record holder Jarrod Harbrow will represent the Suns, with Luke Parker to stand-in for Sydney captain Josh Kennedy and Adam Tomlinson for the Giants.

While the Pies and Swans don't hold a current first-round selection, they are expected to match respective bids for Isaac Quaynor (Next Generation Academy) and Nick Blakey (Swans Academy).

Prestigiacomo's No.35 will move from NAB Rising Star Jaidyn Stephenson to the Pies' first selection, as is tradition since 2010.

North Melbourne skipper Jack Ziebell is also on hand if the Roos match a bid for Tarryn Thomas (Next Generation Academy) in the first round.

Essendon, Hawthorn, Melbourne and North Melbourne, all without a first-round pick, won't make any selections until Friday when the rest of the draft will be completed, unless they complete a surprise pick swap.
