BRETT Goodes, Lachie Whitfield, Lachie Plowman, Jaeger O'Meara, Mark Blicavs and Jack Viney are among a host of debutants who have been named in the squads for the final six games of round one.

Goodes, the 29-year-old brother of Sydney Swans star Adam Goodes, has been named on the half-back flank in the Western Bulldogs' team to play the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Recycled players Nick Lower (ex-Fremantle and Port Adelaide), Koby Stevens (West Coast) and Tom Young (Collingwood) will also play their first games for the Bulldogs.

Angus Monfries (ex-Essendon) will play his first game for Port Adelaide.

Veteran defender Dale Morris, who hasn't played a senior match since breaking his leg in August 2011, has been named in the back pocket, while Adam Cooney, who spent time in hospital last week after suffering an infected knee, has been named on the wing.

The Lions have included former Melbourne midfielder Brent Moloney in their line-up.

With No.1 ruckman Matthew Leuenberger injured, the NAB Cup champions have picked emerging big man Billy Longer in the ruck.

Whitfield and Plowman, the top two picks in last year's NAB AFL Draft, will debut for Greater Western Sydney in Saturday evening's Battle of the Bridge against the Sydney Swans at ANZ Stadium.

Former Hawthorn defender Stephen Gilham has been named in the back pocket for the Giants. Rhys Palmer is among their emergencies.

Ex-Fremantle backman Greg Broughton will play his first game for the Suns.

Former Gold Coast ruckman Tom Hickey will line up for the Saints, as will ex-Fremantle player Dylan Roberton.

Sam Fisher has been left out after failing to shake off the foot injury that saw him spend much of last week wearing a moon boot.

Seven players are set to debut for Melbourne against Port Adelaide at the MCG on Sunday.

Viney will play, as will fellow draftees Jimmy Toumpas and Matt Jones.

Joining them in the team will be recycled players Shannon Byrnes and Tom Gillies (both from Geelong), Cam Pedersen (North Melbourne) and David Rodan (Port Adelaide).

Another potential first-gamer, Dean Terlich, is also in the Demons' 25-man squad.

The Power have named three youngsters of their own, with Jake Neade, Oliver Wines and Kane Mitchell all a chance to debut.
Former West Coast player Lewis Stevenson and ex-Essendon forward will run out in Port jumpers for the first time.

North Melbourne has named Todd Goldstein in the ruck for its clash with Collingwood at Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.

Goldstein's rival for the title as No.1 ruckman, ex-Swans big man Daniel Currie, has not made it into the Roos' 25-man squad.

Former Port Adelaide defender Ben Jacobs will play his first game for North, while ex-Gold Coast backman Taylor Hine is on the club's extended bench, as is Will Sierakowski.

Collingwood has named three potential debutants – Sam Dwyer, Jack Frost and Josh Thomas – on its extended bench.

Ex-West Coast forward Quentin Lynch has been named on a half-forward flank, while former Carlton midfielder Jordan Russell is also in the squad.

Despite queries over his fitness, Hawthorn has named star recruit Brian Lake at full-back for the Easter Monday blockbuster against Geelong.

Former Cats midfielder Jon Simpkin is among the seven players named on the Hawks' bench, as is potential first-gamer Jed Anderson.

Luke Hodge (knee) has not been selected, but Cyril Rioli, who battled an ankle injury during the pre-season, is on a half-forward flank.

Along with Blicavs, Geelong has also included fellow ruckmen Josh Walker and Trent West in its squad.

Chris Scott said earlier on Thursday that two of the three are like to play against the Hawks.

Former Melbourne defender Jared Rivers is set to play his first game for the Cats after being named in the back pocket.

Ex-Gold Coast midfielder Josh Caddy is among seven players named on the club's extended bench.
