Like his South Launceston teammate Mitch Thorp, McCulloch has previous AFL experience, having spent three seasons with the Brisbane Lions without making a debut. The 199cm ruckman/forward finished season 2013 as a premiership player in the TSL and took out the Lefroy Medal as best on ground in the representative game earlier in the year against the NEAFL Eastern Conference, with 22 disposals, 10 marks and three goals. Has come of age in season 2013 and now looks ready for a second chance.
