FREMANTLE will start veterans Matthew Pavlich and Luke McPharlin as substitutes in its first NAB Challenge match against West Coast in oppressive heat at Arena Joondalup.

The temperature reached 35 degrees in Perth on Tuesday.
Pavlich and McPharlin will start with the red vests while Hayden Ballantyne, Colin Sylvia, Max Duffy, Stephen Hill, and Sam Menegola will start on the interchange.
Josh Simpson, Alex Pearce, and Clancee Pearce were late ommissions for the Dockers.
For the Eagles, Sam Butler, Will Schofield, and Simon Tunbridge have been left out of the 26-man side.
Brad Sheppard and Patrick McGinnity will start as the substitutes while Dom Sheed, Elliot Yeo, Jamie Cripps, Scott Lycett, Mark Hutchings, and Murray Newman will start on the bench.
