JARRAD Waite will wear the No.30 guernsey at North Melbourne, continuing his family legacy with the number.

The former Blue played 184 games in the number at Carlton, following in his famous father Vin's footsteps who donned the guernsey in 153 matches for the club.

The key forward takes over the No.30 after the departure of Tom Curran, who was delisted after a serious foot injury derailed his career.

Fellow free agent pick-up Shaun Higgins has inherited the No.4 jumper, made famous by Sam Kekovich, Ross Glendinning and Mick Martyn.

Higgins, who wore No.7 for the bulk of his career at the Bulldogs, takes the number from the delisted Liam Anthony.

First-round draft selection (pick No.16) Sam Durdin has been handed No.24, while fellow draftees Daniel Nielson and Ed Vickers-Willis will wear No.26 and No.33 respectively next season.

New numbers:
4. Shaun Higgins
24. Sam Durdin
26. Daniel Nielson
30. Jarrad Waite
33. Ed Vickers-Willis
