LANCE Franklin has made a rockstar arrival in Melbourne as he prepares to face his old team in Saturday's Grand Final.

The Swans' plane landed at 5.44pm local time and Buddy was the number one target for fans and the media as he emerged past security.

"Yeah it's exciting times," Franklin told reporters.

"Relaxed, happy, excited, I'm all those things."

The Swans have headed to their team hotel.

They're expected to have a light run on the MCG at around 10am on Friday but the session is likely to be closed to media and fans.

The players will then head to the Victorian Arts Centre for the start of the Grand Final parade.

It's there Franklin will come face-to-face with his former teammates as the players assemble in 26 Toyota vehicles.

They'll then be presented on stage at Melbourne's Old Treasury Building around 12.45pm.
