The Gold Coast SUNS Communication & Content team are on the look out for a fun and fresh Camera Operator/Editor. It is vital that the successful candidate has the ability to effectively communicate key messages to internal and external stakeholders of the Gold Coast SUNS through different means of vision and video.

The successful applicant will be a competent Camera operator/ editor with experience using final cut studio. You will be capable of working in a team environment as well as independently in the field at times. You will be required to problem solve on the run using your technical skills and in conjunction with the Communications team to ensure all outcomes and deadlines are achieved.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  • The production (shoot, edit, upload) of a daily list of website segments and news feeds for broadcast media
  • The production of each week’s segments for the Free-To-Air-Program (SUNS TV)
  • The production of all Game Day TV audio visuals, working in cooperation with the Communications, Sponsorship and Events team
  • Game Day TV camera operator and other duties as required
  • Shooting, editing and uploading of the post match interviews
  • Care and maintenance of camera and lighting kits

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across all departments of the Club
  • Previous experience with editing vision/video
  • Creative flair to turn a vision into a final product
  • A strong work ethic
  • We need you to be relentless as you pursue challenges and achieve deadlines and goals (this is not a 9-5 job)
  • Ability to manage multiple activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge and passion for sports, particularly AFL
