RECRUITS Nick Dal Santo and Andrejs Everitt will wear new numbers in 2014 with their clubs revealing Dal Santo will play in No.15 and Everitt will wear 33.

Dal Santo has changed from the number 26 he wore at St Kilda, a number worn by North teammate Taylor Hine.

When Dal Santo arrived at the Roos, he said he may have to convince Hine to give it up.

"I think Taylor will be getting a phone call about that," Dal Santo joked on North's website.

"No, in all honesty, I wouldn't do that to him.  I'm open to changing numbers."

The No.15 at North Melbourne has been worn by club greats including Malcolm Blight, Peter Steward and Ross Smith.

Kangaroos father-son selection Luke McDonald will wear number 21 in his first season at North.

Meanwhile, new Blue Everitt will wear the No.33 recently vacated by 201-game player Ryan Houlihan.

The number has also been by Carlton premiership players Matthew Hogg (1995), Peter McConville (1979, 81, 82), Paul Hurst (1972) and Ritchie Green (1947).

Everitt took the 33 after the club's two other trade period pick-ups, Dale Thomas and Sam Docherty, opted for numbers 39 and 15 respectively.
