Here are Josh's answers to this week's top questions:

Hey Josh,
First of all great win on the weekend! Every week I am impressed with your tackling pressure in your attacking 50 and your work rate. As a forward player, could you please give me some tips regarding tackling?
Cheers, Rick.

Hey Rick,
Tackling is all about your mindset. If you can commit 100% to putting on a tackle, or making it a focus for your game to pressure the opposition then you will stick more than you will miss.  Obviously a lot is about your technique and watching the hips, but if you have a mindset of tackling then the pressure you will create will be enormous.

Hi Josh,
A noted difference this year is the forward half pressure with you and Jack Darling in particular chasing down and tackling opponents and winning free kicks.  (Daniel Kerr is a good exponent of such pressure as well) Why cant the Eagles inculcate (great word hey!) this approach into the team ethos as St Kilda and Collingwood have?
Regards, Alan

Woah woah woah, no big words in this thanks, I’m from Northampton remember! Haha nah, it is a good word and we have been inculcating such pressure over the summer.  Creating that pressure once the opposition has the ball is vital in winning the ball back, and as you already know, St Kilda and Collingwood have taken that to a new level! We have been inculcating it and we are seeing results and it will only grow! Hopefully by our forward line doing it week in, week out it will spread through the team!

Hi Josh,
What a game on Sat. Awesome tackles and three goals three. Is it hard without LeCras? Well good luck when you play Sydney next and for all of the other games.
From Matthew

Having Lecca out is disappointing because he brings so much to the team, but it has given others an opportunity to step up and start hitting the score board. With Lecca out you get noticed more inside 50 by whoever is kicking it in and you get to spend more time in there because he’s not telling you to get out of his way haha! I’m looking forward to having him back in asap!

Good win today, three goals. Josh, who are the brainiacs at West Coast, the guys who know all the trivia questions and who you would invite to a quiz night? Tony 2/4/11 thx

Well definitely not me, I had to Google a word from question 2!  I’d be more there for the company and a good night rather than helping in the quiz because I’d have no idea!  Brett Jones and Beau Waters would be amazing, and also Coxy. He talks a lot of crap but he does know a thing or two!

Hey JK,
Great start to the season mate, well done. As a from inception Eagles supporter, gotta say I absolutely loved the jumpers you blokes pulled on for the North game. Would like to see these retained (including the old logo) as a clash guernsey.  I guess I’m one of the original old diehards, but I know many of our supporters would back me on this one. Do you like the gold 25th year jumpers? Do you have a favourite guernsey? And what about the rest of the boys, do they have a favourite strip?
Rob

Hey mate,
Yeah it is a great jumper to wear, to have your name on the front alongside some of the greats of the club is pretty special. I really like the old school look and would love to bring it back in!  I think a few of the boys are the same, but my favourite is the home jumper. I don’t know why, but I like it the best!
