Collingwood has made two changes to its side ahead of Sunday's twilight round six contest against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG with Cameron Wood and Andrew Krakouer recalled to the 22.
As first reported on collingwoodfc.com.au, Darren Jolly will miss the contest after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his injured left knee, while Dayne Beams has been omitted from the side.
The Magpies will have to rely on the services of Wood, who has just played 31 games for the club since he was acquired via a trade with Brisbane in 2007. The 24-year-old made a senior start in round four (16 hitouts, 10 disposals, 1 goal) and has dominated the VFL this year averaging 35 hitouts, 15.5 disposals and two goals in three matches.
Also included in the side, Krakouer will play his fifth senior game in 2011 after he was omitted for the ANZAC Day game. The 28-year-old should be feeling fresh after not playing any football last weekend.
Beams is named as an emergency along with John McCarthy and Simon Buckley.
Three key Bulldogs will miss through injury with Shaun Higgins (soreness), Ben Hudson (soreness) and Barry Hall (ankle) all ruled out while Brennan Stack has been omitted.
The Magpies and Bulldogs will be competing for the annual Robert Rose Cup for the 12th time.
The Robert Rose Cup was first struck in 2000 to commemorate Robert’s contribution to sport and more importantly to raise funds for the Robert Rose Foundation. The foundation provides support to those suffering from spinal injuries and physical disabilities through Independence Australia.
