Taylor was the leading point-scorer in the Cats' clash with Fremantle at Simonds Stadium on Saturday night.

His finished with 20.5 points, his high score coming thanks to seven intercept marks, seven spoils and a career-high 571 metres gained.

Thompson picked up 28 possessions and took nine marks in North Melbourne's big win over Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

His effort equated to 13 player ratings points, which was the fourth-highest score of all Kangaroos players and the fifth-highest for the match.

Wingard, whose rating has this year improved from 409 to 170, has enjoyed the greatest rise of any player.

Western Bulldogs midfielder Ryan Griffen tallied the best score in round 14.

He earned 31.6 points in the Dogs' narrow loss to Melbourne. The key to his game was his effort in the last quarter, during which he gathered 10 disposals (eight contested) and booted two goals.

Griffen is up to 11th on the player ratings table.

Gold Coast captain Gary Ablett remains the top-rated player in the competition, while Adelaide gun Patrick Dangerfield is second.

Jobe Watson has climbed to third after leading Essendon to victory against West Coast at Patersons Stadium on Thursday night.

Joel Selwood's quiet performance in Geelong's win over Fremantle saw him drop from third to fifth.

The Cats skipper was restricted to 13 possessions (his lowest tally since round one, 2011) by Dockers tagger Ryan Crowley.
