COLLINGWOOD fans planning to have star recruit Adam Treloar's number on their jumpers can finally do so – the Magpies revealing he will wear the No.7 guernsey in 2016.
Treloar, who was traded to the Magpies in the off-season, wore the No.17 jumper in 79 matches for Greater Western Sydney, but with Jonathon Marsh the incumbent wearer he was forced to make a change.
Ben Kennedy, who was traded to Melbourne at the end of the season, wore No.7 for the Pies in 2015.
James Aish will take on the No.14 jumper in his first season for the Pies after two seasons wearing the No.4 at the Brisbane Lions, while former Demon Jeremy Howe will stay in No.38.
As is the Magpie tradition, following Simon Prestigiacomo's selflessness to rule himself unfit to play in the 2010 Grand Final, Jordan De Goey vacates the No.35 guernsey and will instead wear No.2 next season.
The club's top draftee, Brayden Sier, inherits the No. 35, which is given to the first player selected by Collingwood in the NAB AFL Draft.
Matthew Goodyear has shifted his locker down the room to No.27, giving Howe first dibs on the number he wore at Melbourne.
Draftees Tom Phillips (No.21), Rupert Wills (No.33) and Ben Crocker (No.39) , and rookies Josh Smith (No. 40), Tim Golds (No. 41) and Darrean Wyatt (No. 47) have also received their numbers.
