The AFL wishes to advise the Tribunal will sit tonight at 5pm, Tuesday August 4, after Hawthorn’s Brian Lake chose to contest the charge laid against him by the Match Review Panel from its review of the matches played in round 18 of the 2015 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. Please also find below the detail of those sanctions accepted: 

AFL Tribunal, 5pm, Tuesday August 4:

Brian Lake, Hawthorn, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Ty Vickery, Richmond, during the third quarter of the Round 18 match between Hawthorn and Richmond, played at the MCG on Friday July 31, 2015. 

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Richmond Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the body. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction. 

Sanctions Accepted:

James Kelly, Geelong Cats, has accepted a $1000 sanction for making careless contact with umpire Shaun Ryan, during the third quarter of the Round 18 match between the Geelong Cats and the Brisbane Lions, played at Simonds Stadium on Saturday August 1, 2015. 

Steve Johnson, Geelong Cats, has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Allen Christensen, Brisbane Lions, during the fourth quarter of the Round 18 match between the Geelong Cats and the Brisbane Lions, played at Simonds Stadium on Saturday August 1, 2015. 

Nathan Jones, Melbourne, has accepted a $1000 sanction for wrestling Scott Pendlebury, Collingwood, at the half-time break of the Round 18 match between Melbourne and Collingwod, played at the MCG on Saturday August 1, 2015. 

Mark LeCras, West Coast, has accepted a $1500 sanction for engaging in rough conduct against Matt Shaw, Gold Coast Suns, during the fourth quarter of the Round 18 match between West Cost and the Gold Coast Suns, played at Metricon Stadium on Saturday August 1, 2015. 

Dylan Buckley, Carlton, has accepted a $1000 sanction for misconduct against Lindsay Thomas, North Melbourne, during the first quarter of the Round 18 match between Carlton and North Melbourne, played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday August 1, 2015. 

Michael Firrito, North Melbourne, has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Matthew Kreuzer, Carlton, during the second quarter of the Round 18 match between North Melbourne and Carlton, played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday August 1, 2015. 

Jack Steven, St Kilda, has accepted a $1000 sanction for making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the face of Travis Boak, Port Adelaide, during the third quarter of the Round 18 match between St Kilda and Port Adelaide, played at Adelaide Oval on Sunday August 2, 2015. 

Jack Newnes, St Kilda, has accepted a $1000 sanction for striking Robbie Gray, Port Adelaide, during the fourth quarter of the Round 18 match between St Kilda and Port Adelaide, played at Adelaide Oval on Sunday August 2, 2015. 

Zac Dawson, Fremantle, has accepted a two-game sanction for striking Jeremy Cameron, GWS Giants, during the first quarter of the Round 18 match between Fremantle and the GWS Giants, played at Domain Stadium on Sunday August 2, 2015. 

Toby Greene, GWS Giants, has accepted a $1500 sanction for engaging in a melee during the fourth quarter of the Round 18 match between the GWS Giants and Fremantle, played at Domain Stadium on Sunday August 2, 2015. 

Jeremy Cameron, GWS Giants, has accepted a $1000 sanction for engaging in a melee during the fourth quarter of the Round 18 match between the GWS Giants and Fremantle, played at Domain Stadium on Sunday August 2, 2015. 

David Mundy, Fremantle, has accepted a $1000 sanction for engaging in a melee during the fourth quarter of the Round 18 match between Fremantle and the GWS Giants, played at Domain Stadium on Sunday August 2, 2015.
