They've been dominant on several occasions in the VFL this year, but on Sunday North Melbourne's listed players simply failed to fire for Werribee against Sandringham.

A poor third term by the Tigers saw the Zebras kick 10 goals to one and set up the convincing 43-point win.

Robbie Tarrant started the afternoon in promising fashion taking a strong contested mark in the backline while developing midfielder Matthew Scott managed to snare a rare goal to go with his 12 possessions, but the highlights for the North boys were few and far between.

Tarrant finished with 14 possessions and had a brief run in the forward line but was denied any opportunity to inflict scoreboard damage and was sent back into defence. Cam Pedersen collected 18 touches and a goal while Gavin Urquhart had 17 disposals.

Ben Ross was very quiet only managing to find the ball 12 times and Ben Warren was starved of opportunities having the ball just 11 times and kicking a solitary goal.

Majak Daw toiled hard in the ruck for 24 hit-outs but failed to impose himself around the ground and notched up six possessions.

Ben McKinley did not play due to injury and North Ballarat had a bye leaving Brad Scott and the North Melbourne match committee with limited options looking ahead to the match against Adelaide on Sunday.
