SUMMARY

The Jekyll and Hyde Eagles return home to the comforts of Domain Stadium hoping to bounce back against the Saints. They have beaten the Saints in each of their last six meetings and the Saints have not won at Domain Stadium since Ross Lyon was coach. The Saints have travelled well this year though. They tested Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval in round one and nearly beat Hawthorn in Tasmania. St Kilda's young midfield will look to expose West Coast with its run and dare. Nick Riewoldt has always enjoyed the expanses of Domain Stadium and will look to work over his opponents again. The Saints need to be wary of Josh Kennedy. He threatened to kick a big bag at home against Collingwood but was just inaccurate in front of goal.

THE SIX POINTS
1. The Eagles dominated the Saints the last time the sides played. They won the disposals (418-359), marks (95-84), hit-outs (59-34), had 25 more scoring shots and 21 more inside 50s. The Saints were held to their second-lowest score ever against the Eagles.

2. West Coast has been a strong contested marking side in 2016, ranked equal first averaging 13.6 per game. The Saints are ranked 10th with 11.3 per game.

3. The Eagles have won the past six matches against the Saints and the visitors have not won in Perth against either WA team since 2011.

4. The Eagles are ranked first in the AFL for hit-outs with 49.9 per game. But it's not transferring to centre clearances with the team ranked 11th overall.

5. St Kilda are ranked fourth for total disposals across the first seven rounds, averaging 396.1 per game. Leigh Montagna is in the top 10 with a total of 204 disposals for the season so far.

6. Eagles star Matt Priddis has slid from 11th on the Schick AFL Player Ratings at the start of the season to 20th after round seven. Saints midfielder David Armitage has steadily climbed from 28th to 24th in the same period.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR … Luke Shuey

He had just six kicks in his 19 disposals last week. It was his lowest number of kicks in 17 games. He would love to bounce back with an electric display against the Saints.

PREDICTION: West Coast by 40 points
