Lions players Simon Black, Joel Patfull and Xavier Clarke were among the hundreds of people who flocked to the Logan Entertainment Centre on Sunday 6 March to be part of the Lady Mayoress’ Logan Unites 4 Lockyer community fundraising event.

The event helped raise thousands of dollars for flood victims from the Lockyer Valley through a number of fundraising initiatives such as raffles, live entertainment and ‘Dunk a Councillor’ - which proved popular throughout the afternoon.

The players - together with mascot Bernie ‘Gabba’ Vegas - were on hand to sign autographs, take photos and, more importantly, present a $10,000 cheque on behalf of the Brisbane Lions to Logan Mayor Pam Parker and Lockyer Valley Deputy Mayor Graham Moon to put towards the worthy cause.

It was the latest financial contribution from the Club who continue to be active in helping flood affected areas in a number of different ways.
